How To Make An End Portal In Minecraft

How To Make An End Portal In Minecraft – As you explore the game’s open world, marveling at all of the computer-generated beauty that seems to go on forever, a malevolent dark side lurks.

There are fortresses to explore, chests to pound, and distinct resources to collect among the demons and otherworldly beings. This tutorial explains how to build a portal in Minecraft so you can visit these evil domains.

Walk over to the entrance of your base’s main chamber and look down. If you look closely, you’ll see two entrances: one leading to the Nether biome, and another that leads to the End biome. You’ll have to build a Nether Portal first since you’ll need an item from a Nether Fortress to create the portal.

Making a Portal in Creator Mode

For those of you who play in the Creative Mode, making your portal is simple and doesn’t need any lengthy quests across the world or through alternate dimensions.

To construct one, take the End Portal Frame from your creative inventory and place it down like the pattern shown in the preceding image. If you’ve ever played with legos, this will be familiar. To make a portal, all of the blocks must be pointing inwards; this may be done by standing in the center of the location you want to establish a portal and arranging the blocks around oneself.

Simply insert all twelve Eyes of Ender into the portal, and it will light up. You don’t need the frames or even the blocks anymore; you may even shatter them if you wish.

The game is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.

How to Make an End Portal from Scratch

The simplest method to reach the End biome is to construct your own End Portal with 12 end portal frames and 12 Eyes of Ender. Let’s have a look, shall we?

You must build the End Portal standing in one spot and place the portal frames in a circle around you. This ensures that the Eyes of Ender will point toward the correct end location when opening the portal.

1. Frame Construction

To make the End Portal, you’ll need 12 end portal frames. To build the first side of the portal, join three end portal frames together.

Place 3 more end portal frames on the right to complete the second side of the gateway. Make sure the green tabs on top of the end portal frames are facing towards the portal’s interior.

To make the third side of the portal, pivot to your left and place 3 more end portal frames. Make sure the green tabs on the top of the end portal frame face towards the interior of the chamber.

Last, pivot to the right and add the last three end portal frames to complete the frame of the End portal.

The end portal frames must follow the design pattern shown in the illustration above.

2. The Eye of Ender must be added to the End Portal.

To complete the End Portal, you’ll need to add the 12 Eyes of Ender. Place the Eyes of Ender in each of the end portal frame-blocks while standing in the center of the portal.

We’ve now added 11 of the Eyes of Ender. You must not add the 12th Eye of Ender while standing in the portal’s middle. Doing so will cause the portal to open, and you will be sent to The End biome!

Step outside of the portal or fly a bit above it to add the last Eye of Ender.

How to complete an End Portal found in a Stronghold

If you want to go the more traditional route, there are several Portal Frames in Strongholds that have been completed. To discover the Stronghold and activate the portal, you’ll need at least 10 Eyes of Ender.

1. Find the Stronghold

In Minecraft, you will use an Eye of Ender to discover the Stronghold in your world first. To do this, put the Eye of Ender in your Hotbar and throw it into the air to see which direction it goes.

Depending on the version of Minecraft, you must use one of the following methods to throw the Eye of Ender:

  • Right-click on Java Edition (PC/Mac) to launch the Eye of Ender.
  • Tap on where you want to launch the Eye of Ender in the Pocket Edition (PE).
  • On the PS3 or PS4, use the L2 button on the controller.
  • On the Xbox controller, press the LT button to turn it on for Xbox 360 or Xbox One.
  • To throw the Eye of Ender for Windows 10 Edition, right-click on it.
  • To play SEGA Superstars on the Nintendo eShop, select a game and then press the ZL button on the control pad.
  • To play on the Nintendo Switch, press the ZL button on the controller.
  • Right-click to fling the Eye of Ender in Education Edition.

The Eye of Ender will float upward, hover for a moment, and then fall to the ground. This is the path you should take. If your Eye of Ender did not shatter, you may pick it up and re-throw it.

Continue to throw the Eye of Ender into the air until it hovers over a specific location. This is your Stronghold’s position.

Dig straight down at this location.

You must wander through the corridors in search of the End Portal’s frame after locating the Stronghold. Likely, you won’t find it straight away; therefore, it may take some time and patience to locate it.

Search the Stronghold for more chests. You discover chests filled with riches as you explore, and eventually, you’ll find the End Portal that has not yet been activated.

2. Complete the End Portal by adding the Eye of Ender

There will be a total of 12 blocks where the Eyes of Ender must be placed in the End Portal. Because there should already be 1 or 2 Eyes of Ender on hand, all you have to do is add the remaining 10-11.

When you put the Eyes of Ender into place, the portal will become active. You may now travel to the End by passing through the end portal.

If you’re looking to explore the End, there are a few different ways that you can do so. You could spend hours and days wandering through corridors of your world in search of an activated portal or stronghold where one is present. Or, if you have at least 10 Eyes of Ender on hand already found from exploring chests, you might want to skip straight ahead by locating a Stronghold first with these tips: throw an Eye of Ender into the air until it hovers over something specific – this will be your Stronghold’s position. Dig down at that location and start searching for more treasure chests! It may take some time before finding the framed Portal but soon enough you’ll be able to travel up to The End biome.
